Amy Walker, C.P.M., spoke at the NAPM-Inland Empire last night. She discussed PERT's role in providing onsite seminars that teach Demand Planning Essentials to buyers and managers.
Her real world experiences provided a refreshing 'reality check'. Amy explained the various formulas, models and concepts; ranging from consensus based forecasting to seasonal indexing; that help a company prepare when unexpected events occur that affect the supply chain.
